Hi everyone.

I've recently copy/paste the whold script code into my website, and created a table named comments. However when I ran my site in the server, it stated No Database Selected. HELP (I'm noob)!

In the amount of time you took to create this post to ask for help, you could have read the tutorial. The tutorial is a tutorial because it tells you what you need to do step by step from start to finish.

The purpose was not to cut and paste the code; Take a little time to read the text above and below the code samples and you will see and learn how it make it work and how to make it your own.

Good luck and feel free to ask any questions on any part you feel is unclear along the way.

I did review the tutorial, and can't figure out the connect_databas e.php part. I'm unsure what's

<?php

$database[dbser ver]="web site.com" ; //Is this the localhost part?
$database[dbuse r]="user ";
$database[dbnam e]="datab ase_1";
$database[dbpas s]="passw ord";
$table ="table1 ";

$connect = mysql_connect($ database['dbse rver'], $database['dbu ser'], $database['dbp ass']);

$select= mysql_select_db ($database['db name']);
?>

Do I need the whole script?

You need the whole script, and then you need to customize it to your specific needs. db_server is indeed the localhost part.
